Another national festival of Pakistan, which raises the spirits of the citizens of the country and lets them celebrate it with much aplomb and oomph factor all over is Pakistan Day that is celebrated on 23rd March each year.

Pakistan Day marks the anniversary of the Lahore Resolution (that has a historical value) which was later renamed ‘Pakistan Resolution’. On this occasion, the idea of a separate country ‘Pakistan’ was proposed at a location called ‘Minto Park’ which is now famous and renamed ‘Minar-e-Pakistan’ in Lahore. It is also known as ‘Yadgar-e-Pakistan’.

The main purpose behind this resolution was to begin the struggle for achieving a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent. Muslims wanted to have a separate country and freedom from the then ruling Britishers.
