Harmonium, a classy saccharine instrument

Harmonium is classy musical instrument and most of the time, its playing is found and done in classical singing and classical performances. It is a free-standing musical keyboard that was explored and launched by the Britishers.

Harmonium comprises of free reeds and the sound emerged from harmonium comes from the air being blown through reeds.

The air that counts in creating the sounds gets supplied by the hand operated bellows which are alternately depressed by the player of the instrument.

Harmonium as mentioned above is used in classical performances lie qawwali, folk music and other kinds.

It is a three octave keyboard – lower, middle and higher octave.
